六天的大太陽
把人曬傷
最後一天
卻有隊員在突如其來的風雨中
被凍到有些失溫
有隊員走到落淚

回到城市
久違的友人說起之前被坑的事
言談間說了好幾次：
「只是想安身立命，好好專心創作卻那麼難，活著好難。」
他的話一直在我腦海裡迴響
讓我想起電影《一代宗師》裡的對白：
「最難越過的高山是生活」
風雲難測
人心亦是
山上的氣溫可以突然驟降
人性也可以突然變得冷酷無情
不管是在山上或山下
我們需要的
都是一些溫暖
一個避風遮雨之地
讓生命得以延續
還有能力走下去
不論快慢
已是一件可喜的事

The Hardest Mountain is Life
Seven days of trekking along the Central Ridge of Taiwan.
Six days of blistering sun,
leaving us scorched.
On the very last day,
a sudden storm caught us,
leaving some teammates shivering on the verge of hypothermia.
Some walked in tears.

Back in the city,
a friend I hadn't seen in a long time spoke of being wronged.
Over and over, they sighed:
"I just want to find a place to stand, to focus entirely on my creation. Why must it be so hard? Why is surviving this difficult?"
Those words kept echoing in my mind.
They reminded me of a line from the movie The Grandmaster:
"The hardest mountain to cross is life itself."
The weather is unpredictable;
so is the human heart.
Just as temperatures in the mountains can plummet in an instant,
human nature can suddenly turn cold and ruthless.
Whether we are high up in the mountains or down in the city,
what we all need
is a little warmth,
a shelter from the wind and rain,
to let life carry on.
To still have the strength to keep walking—
no matter how fast or slow—
is already something to be deeply grateful for.
