林葆靈榮獲 2010/2011 Freeman Foundation 亞洲藝術家獎助|Lin Bao-Ling Receives the 2010/2011 Freeman Foundation Asian Artist Fellowship

I received an email from Vermont Studio Center in the United States informing me that I had been selected as Taiwan’s recipient of the 2010/2011 Freeman Foundation Asian Artist Fellowship.

The news came as a wonderful surprise, and I was truly delighted. Sponsored by the Freeman Foundation, this prestigious fellowship selects one outstanding artist from each participating Asian country each year, offering a fully funded two-month artist residency at Vermont Studio Center.

Following previous artist residencies at Plastique Kinetic Worms in Singapore, Taitung Railway Art Village in Taiwan, and Marina Mandarin Singapore, I would travel to Vermont Studio Center in the United States in 2011 for an eight-week artist residency.

The fellowship provided comprehensive support, including a private studio, accommodation and meals, round-trip airfare, an art materials allowance, artwork shipping support, a living stipend, and funding for a cultural visit to New York City upon completion of the residency.

I believe this will be an incredibly valuable and unforgettable journey.

I am deeply grateful to the jury for this recognition, and I look forward to the experiences, inspiration, and artistic growth that this residency will bring.
