[委託製作]Commission for Hotel project: part 1

新加坡新開幕的Citadines Singapore Mount Sophia （新加坡馨樂庭索菲亞山酒店）委託我繪製一幅350x55cm的夜景畫
主要就是描繪他們的旅館及其周圍的環境在夜晚時的樣貌
上面這張是草圖

The newly opened hotel Citadines Singapore Mount Sophia in Singapore commissioned me to create a night painting measuring 350 × 55 cm. The work mainly depicts the hotel and its surrounding environment at night. The image above is the sketch.

旅館位於小印度(little India)
我因之前有在那邊的一間畫廊(plastic kinetic worms)駐站過
所以那陣子還蠻常在那邊出沒
在LASALLE college of the Arts讀書時老師也曾帶我們去那裏寫生
老同學的Octopus設計工作室也在那裡
這個委製案著實勾起了不少回憶

The hotel is located in Little India. Since I previously had a residency at a gallery there called Plastic Kinetic Worms, I used to spend quite a lot of time in that area during that period. When I was studying at LASALLE College of the Arts, my instructor also took us there for plein air sketching. An old classmate’s Octopus design studio is also located there. This commission has truly brought back many memories.

這幅委製畫作非常窄長（客戶要求）
也讓我想起以前有剛開始畫夜景時還蠻喜歡畫窄長型的畫

In addition, the painting is unusually long and narrow (as requested by the client), which reminded me of when I first started painting night scenes—I was quite fond of working in elongated formats.

轉眼５年了
當時
在學校混亂工作室的小隔間裡作畫的心情和場景
竟然還記憶猶新
歷歷在目

In the blink of an eye, five years have passed.Back then, the feeling and scene of painting in the small cubicle of that chaotic studio at school remain vividly etched in my memory, as if they had happened just yesterday.
