創作捕捉生命中真實的景象，從城市繁華的夜景到冷冽蕭瑟的雪景，每一幅都讓人身歷其境、為之驚嘆，透過特殊創作手法讓顏料恣意流淌，形成如夢似幻的暈染效果，完美融合了西方藝術的抽象與東方潑墨的氣質，呈現出帶有流動性且如夢似幻的壯麗景致。
Lin Bao Ling’s work captures the authentic moments of life — from the bustling brilliance of city nights to the cold, desolate beauty of snowy landscapes. Each piece draws the viewer in, evoking awe and immersion. Through unique painting techniques that allow pigments to flow freely, Lin creates dreamlike diffusions of color, seamlessly blending the abstraction of Western art with the expressive spirit of Eastern ink painting. The result is a series of majestic, fluid, and ethereal scenes.

These works depict Lin’s vision of snow-covered sceneries and urban nightscapes, evoking a serene, almost spiritual atmosphere. Within the interplay of abstraction and ink-like washes, one can sense the poetic harmony between nature and the city. The “The Nameless Little Guy” series embodies Lin’s emotional projection — figures that are both childlike and brave, as if they have endured countless trials yet continue to overcome them with quiet strength, radiating a unique and resilient inner energy.

《自由的光芒》—2022林葆靈個展 展覽評論 The Light of Freedom - Lin Bao Ling’s Solo Exhibition
2021年新冠肺炎在全球各地蔓延，疫情影響著全球各地的生活，人們的活動受限，慣常的生活型態也因而有了新型態的轉變。在時勢的變化之下，藝術家林葆靈思考何謂「自由」，在本次個人展覽——《自由的光芒》中以多元的作品風貌呈現了他對於「自由」的詮釋與想像。
在展覽中，林葆靈巧妙地以挪用的方式將小傢伙融入著名的文學、漫畫及繪畫作品當中，作品《前浪》挪用自葛飾北齋的《神奈川沖浪》，小傢伙乘坐在巨大的浪花頂端，身在藝術洪流的高處持續探索無邊的藝術疆域；在《斬》系列作品中，林葆靈採用源自盧齊歐・封塔納著名的「割破」畫布的概念，使二維度的作品呈現新的表現層次。《雪國》系列靈感來源於越後妻有旅行的冬日風景，在風雪滿天的寒冷氣候中小屋村落的溫暖燈火，蘊含著溫暖的能量。

除了平面畫作之外，林葆靈也嘗試了一系列立體作品，以複合媒材呈現更多元的作品風貌。在立體作品中常見以小傢伙作為主角，探索人生旅途中的不同風景。無論是《創作的世界II》在冰雪中因繪畫而點亮身心的溫暖場景，抑或是《創作的世界III》中與大自然和諧的相處，俯仰於天地之間的自成一派，都能從中看見林葆靈一路以來的創作軌跡以及對於自由的追求與想像。《創意思考》中小傢伙坐在箱子上探索箱外的世界，但實際上仍身處更大的箱子之中。隱喻了試圖突破框架思考的局限性，同時也是對自由本質的深刻提問。

觀察林葆靈對於自由的詮釋，此次展覽《自由的光芒》中在主題內容與形態上，使用更自由多元的呈現方式，以不同思考切角搭配嶄新的創作手法回應本次展覽的命題。無論是割破畫布、破壞框架的如宏氣勢，抑或是身處於框架之中安然自適的自由神態，以及思考究竟是處於箱里還是箱外的框架迴圈……，透過不同創作主題不僅表達了林葆靈對於「自由的光芒」的深刻理解，也留給觀者「自由」想像的空間。

索卡藝術非常榮幸參與2024年度藝術盛宴《 #ARTTAIPEI #台北國際藝術博覽會》，我們將於10月24日至10月28日在台北世貿一館，展位F05，為各位呈現來自英國、日本、韓國、中國、台灣共15位藝術家的精彩創作，展出藝術家包含 : 王小雙、王依雅、吳若昕、李西西 、李捷、林葆靈、威廉．赫曼、洪凌、席時斌、閆占城、飯田桐子、橋爪悠也、嚴一能、Kim Sunwoo、NKSIN (依姓氏筆畫排列)。本次帶來的藝術家創作涵括了「#直覺意象」和「#非直覺意象」兩部份，各透露著藝術家的心境與故事，向觀者傳達出不同的當代藝術語彙。

林葆靈的作品以神秘浪漫的夜景著稱。他以製圖膠片為創作載體，讓顏料在之上恣意流淌，形成如夢似幻的暈染效果，完美融合了西方藝術的抽象與東方潑墨的氣質，呈現出帶有流動性與刻意模糊焦距的現代攝影感。
2020年開始創作的《雪國》系列，描繪從日本新瀉的山林裡遠望小村落燈火闌珊的景致。他以劇場式的光線跳脫景物固有的色彩，透過藍、紫、銀等冷色系顏料，營造出有如潑墨山水的大自然氣韻。如此精湛的暈染技法，再加上有如皴法般的山巒肌理與質感，流露出藝術家濃厚的水墨功底。他將黑夜與雪季的冷冽靜謐凝結起來，點綴上黃、白色的閃爍燈火，展現藝術家對於光影的追求以及心中的溫暖，充滿詩意的想像。除了夢幻寫實的壯麗景致描繪，他也一直在象徵自我的「沒有名字的小傢伙」系列默默耕耘。每件出現小傢伙身影的創作皆是他生命經驗的書寫，他透過此系列表達出對生命的孤寂、無奈與堅持。

Lin Bao-ling's works are renowned for their mysterious and romantic night scenes. Using drafting film as his medium, he allows the paint to flow freely, creating dreamy, ethereal blurring effects that perfectly blend Western abstract art with the essence of Eastern ink wash techniques, presenting a modern photographic quality characterized by fluidity and intentional soft focus.
Since 2020, he has been working on the "Snow Country" series, depicting the enchanting view of distant village lights from the mountains of Niigata, Japan. He employs theatrical lighting to transcend the inherent colors of the scenery, using cool tones of blue, purple, and silver to evoke the essence of nature reminiscent of ink wash landscapes. This exquisite technique, combined with textures and qualities akin to traditional brushwork, reveals the artist's deep foundation in ink painting. He captures the serene coldness of night and winter, adorned with flickering yellow and white lights, showcasing his pursuit of light and shadow while embodying a sense of warmth and poetic imagination. In addition to his stunningly dreamlike realistic landscapes, he has been quietly cultivating his symbolic series, "The Nameless Little Guy." Each creation featuring this little figure reflects his life experiences, expressing solitude, helplessness, and persistence through this series.

第31屆台北國際藝術博覽會落幕，沒算錯的話今年應該是我第14次參與，很榮幸今年也能繼續參與這藝壇盛事，感謝索卡藝術團隊，大家都辛苦了！也謝謝支持我的每一個人。能夠長期專心致志的創作，獲得支持，有舞台發表，是極其幸運的，我會繼續努力。

索卡藝術 即將於2024/7/27至8/24展出《旅程心景 – 藝術家聯展》，本次展覽匯集了五位優秀的當代藝術家作品，包含林葆靈、李西西、平松宇造、池平徹兵與Maho Takahashi 。不論是林葆靈的作品中夢幻寫實的雪國場景，還是充滿敘事性擷取人生片段風景的李西西，和擅長以獨特的視角和細膩的筆觸，捕捉旅途中那些靜謐而美麗瞬間的平松宇造，與畫面天馬行空、傳遞溫暖與童趣的池平徹兵，最後是Maho Takahashi以數位化少女之姿嬉戲於山河之間的精采創作；每件作品都是一段旅程的紀錄，展現了他們眼中的風景及旅途中所感受到的情感變化。藝術家們巧妙地通過作品捕捉並詮釋了他們在旅行中的心境和印象。
