After two successful exhibitions of the Original Print series at the previous Affordable Art Fairs in Singapore, the Art and Printmaking Studio will launch Original Prints 2012 a print series by a group of eight International artists specially created for the Affordable Art Fair and curated by artist and printmaker Marisa Keller.

This year the Original Prints 2012 series will reflect on the more ambiguous qualities of printmaking; The possibility to repeat an image from a plate creating an edition of similar images and the more process based options to alter the plate during the process creating a changed and unique work in every stage.Throughout the history of printmaking, artists were charmed by this evolution of the plate resulting often in many ‘states’ of the plate.’

Original Prints 2012 will consist of a series of 6 hand printed mixed media works by each of the 8 artists emphasizing this unique dual quality of printmaking. Techniques used are Etching, Aquatint, Woodcut, Monotype, Embossing, Chine Colle, Stencil in combination with Drawing, Painting and Collage
