回覆刪除My first impression after looking at Night Streetscape:
Made me think it was Edward Hooper-esque. Like his Nighthawks.
But instead of a sinister feel (Edward Hooper's Nighthawks gives
me an impression that I am seeing it through the eyes of a
stalker, stealing glances from the shadows), I feel that I am
seeing it from the safety of my own balcony. Which explains the
elevated perspective. The lack of human activity (the white car
on the right does not have its headlights on, so I presume) also
makes this less voyeuristic.
But yet there is the same urban detachment found in Nighthawks.

compare my work with Edward Hooper's kind of giving me pressure, haha.
